In Iowa, the state senate president, Mike Gronstal, repeats his promise to kill a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage and Zach Walls, the 19-year old son of a lesbian couple, tells legislators what his moms mean to him. Marriage equality is moving forward in Maryland. In Indiana, a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage advances under Republicans.  A poll in Kentucky finds strong support for LGBT rights. At a vigil for slain Ugandan gay leader David Kato, there are charges that he was not getting the resources he needed from US and international groups. In New York, Gay Men of African Descent is sponsoring a forum on how to respond to David's murder. It's at the LGBT Center, 208 W. 13th Street, on Friday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 PM.
