Two drug dealers were shot dead in separate shootouts with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), in Cox's Bazar early today. Mohammad Shahjahan (27), one of the victims of Ukhiya upazila's massacre, was identified. The identity of the other victim, who was between 25- and 30-years old and killed in Teknaf, could not immediately be determined. Officials at the BGB said that both were drug peddlers. The Ukhiya shootout took place at Tulatui Jaliler Goda Bridge area. BGB men took positions after receiving information that a large consignment from Myanmar of yaba would enter Bangladesh. Lt Col Ali Haider Azad Ahmed was commander of Cox's Bazar 34 Battalion, BGB told our Cox's Bazar correspondent.
