YOU'LL KNOW WHEN YOU'RE HERE!
Like all the best natural areas, you won't find Beidler Forest in the middle of a city! We are, however, conveniently located right off of Interstate 26. There are, of course, signs guiding you to Beidler Forest's front door!  Be warned that various GPS programs will lead you past the signed roads.

FROM CHARLESTON OR THE EAST: Take I-26 WEST to Exit 187. Make a left turn onto Highway 27 (South) to Highway 78. Make a right turn onto Highway 78 (West). At the fork in the road, veer right onto Highway 178. Make a right onto Francis Beidler Forest Road (first paved right). After 4 miles the road will make a 90-degree turn to the left, veer right onto Mims Road. We're a mile on the right!

FROM I-95, COLUMBIA OR WEST: Take I-26 EAST to Exit 177. Make a right hand turn onto Highway 453 (South) to Highway 178. Make a left turn onto Highway 178 (East). Go through the town of Harleyville. Six miles later make the left turn onto Francis Beidler Forest Road. After 4 miles the road will make a 90-degree turn to the left, veer right onto Mims Road. We're a mile on the right!

Note: Your GPS just might take you on a different route than our signs. That's perfectly fine, either way will get you here. Your GPS might also tell you you've arrive at your destination when you're only halfway down our forested road. Just keep going.
